Hickory Living Alley
In mid-June 2017, Place Lab received news that we've been awarded a Living Alleys Community Challenge Grant on behalf of the Friends of Hickory Alley, to bring much-needed improvements to Hickory Street between Van Ness and Franklin Streets in San Francisco's Hayes Valley neighborhood. Improvements will include building murals and overhead string lighting, to improve the alley's safety and attractiveness.
We have partnered with ArtSpan on a major 5-building mural that expresses the concept "What does music look like?" and for which we received over 60 design entries. Check out the winning mural design here:

Currently we are aiming for mural installation in October, and lights installation in early 2019.
